2421953286_bbcd11daaa Hustler Casino: A ReviewSo it came time to check out the Hustler Casino in Gardena, California.  I had checked out the reviews before and saw that there was many different kinds of games being spread, and genreally the reviews were all pretty good but that leaves a lot of things to think about….

After getting directions, I realized it was only a 8 mile jaunt from my hotel, so that was a positive.  The only other casino close by was Hollywood Park and since my first visit there, I will not be returning. You can read my review later when I post it.  Getting there was easy as pie, off the 110 south, it was literally 2 minutes after that and easy to find.

I pulled up and was immediately greeted by a very polite valet who promptly took my car off and wished me luck.  I was disappointed to find out that when I got in, even though it’s the Hustler Casino, there is not Hustler type events going on.  Maybe it was the man in me, but I was semi expecting porn all over the place when I got inside. Sad to say, that was not the case.

As you walk in, the poker tables are right in front of you. In fact it seems that the entire casino is in a weird circle shape and as you go around the cirlce, you venture into poker, then blackjack, then other games and then it comes back around again.  I went and saw the games listed in the low / mid limit area, they had 2/4, 3/6, 4/8, 6/12, and 8/16 and each game had 3 or 4 tables going of each.  To the back was the high limit area and they have a 25/50 game going on two tables.

I decided to give 2/4 a try and was promptly guided to a table by the front door.  The service was so so, when I asked a server for a menu, she informed me that she was the drink girl and i’d have to wait for the food service lady.  Hmmph, that’s not amazing.  For what lacks in service , is more than made up for by the dealers. Every dealer was immensely nice, prompt, and ran a fantastic game.  For a 2/4 game, it played like a 2/4 game with 4-5 to the flop, everyone cold calling raises, but everyone seemed relaxed and no one was taking it too seriously which a bonus.  The one I dislike is when people are playing low limits and treating it like it’s 500/1000.  I know that to be a good player you have to play 2/4 the same as 30/60 but I mean really, does that mean you have to be a dick? Nope , it sure doesnt.

Eventually I got a piece of cheesecake which was ok.  Nothing amazing.  I did get a free Hustler Casino calendar date book which was a nice lil piece of swag they were giving out.  Overall for the session I walked out up $44 in 3 hours of play, and at least $42 of the money I won was won in pots I had no business being in but in the spirit having fun I was gambling more than I should have been.

So let’s recap
